As lead portfolio manager you will be responsible for the maintenance and development of this company’s investment strategy, model portfolio construction and management, strategic and tactical allocation, performance attribution and client investment bulletins.
As such, you will have a strong investment and academic background, and will be experienced in managing private client and trustee multi-asset portfolios, in a risk-controlled manner. You should also have experience of incorporating exchange-traded products and investment trusts within portfolios, and knowledge of offshore investment is preferable.
As portfolio manager, you will report to the company’s CIO, and manage effective business relationships with the company’s wealth managers and their clients. You will primary responsibility for fund due diligence, liaison with the Investment Committee and portfolio justification. You will also undertake client reviews, issuing reports and recommendations. Full admin and paraplanning support will be provided.
Ideally you will need to be level 6 qualified, with current or recent SPS and have the CISI PCIAM, or equivalent discretionary investment qualification. You should have a strong understanding and proven ability of multi-asset class portfolio construction, analysis and risk analytics. You should have strong knowledge of funds, sectors and the UK/Global economy with good analytical skills; including identifying trends, issues and investment opportunities/risks.
