Simon Bean is a fellow of the REC (Recruitment & Employment Confederation) and we comply with the Confederation’s standards and codes of practice.

We comply with all relevant legislation including the Data Protection Act. and the Recruitment Connection respects and wishes to protect your privacy.

The nature of our business dictates that from time to time we need to acquire personal information. By giving this information you confirm you are happy for the Recruitment Connection to be in possession of it.

The Recruitment Connection will not use any personal information supplied for any purpose other than that for which it is submitted. We use personal information to reply to enquiries about our business and the services we offer. From time to time we may need to contact you to confirm information supplied.

We do not and will not sell or distribute any personal information to any third party.

GDPR

The EU has passed the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to replace the out-dated Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC. The GDPR will affect UK companies regardless of Brexit and came into force on 25th May 2018.

There will be stricter regulations regarding the handling of personal data by companies which Recruitment Connection will be complying with. The definition of personal data has also been expanded to include location data and biometric data.

Key examples of new rights for individuals:

  • Express consent – individuals will have to give their express consent, actively and freely, that their personal data can be used by the company;
  • Withdraw consent – individuals have the right to withdraw their consent at any time;
  • Rectification – individuals will be able to request the company to rectify incorrect personal data they have on them;
  • Erasure – individuals have the right to request that the company remove their data and the company must notify other parties to whom the data has been transferred about this erasure. Click here for further information about the GDPR
